Fraternal correction should be done in charity–that means you too, seetiger. Blanket condemnations, use of phrases like “you people”, assertions, assumptions, denunciations and diatribes do not sound like charitable Christian fraternal correction to me.

It appears to me that you are focusing not on loving God but on condemning those who aren’t “loving” or “following” Him as you personally think He should be loved and followed.

You’ve erected this “paper tiger” of supposed horrible nasty so-called Christians (us) who supposedly do all these terrible things to Christ just because we want to be better than anybody else.

Well, while it is certainly true that all of us have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, and that we are all too proud, the way you have chosen to express yourself (have you accused YOURSELF of the evils you attribute to US, seetiger?) is certainly not the way CHRIST expressed Himself. I don’t expect you–or me for that matter–to be perfect. I do expect us to do our best to express ourselves with charity and not with disdain. And I also expect that if we are going to work for unity, if we point the finger of blame at others, that we point it at ourselves as well.

Remember, Lord, in our zeal for the love of truth, not to forget about the truth of love. (loosely paraphrased).

For this, I will just point you to 1 Tim 3:15 (KJV).

But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.

Notice how it says “Church”. It does not say “churches”. Jesus Christ founded one visible Church which is the Catholic Church. The Catholic Church is not dividing the Body of Christ because She is the Body of Christ and the Bride of Christ. If you split yourself off from the Body of Christ and start your own Church or follow your own interpretation of Scripture guided by the Holy Spirit rather than the Church’s, you are dividing the Body. The Church is the pillar and foundation of truth, not personal interpretation guided by the Holy Spirit (Sola Scriptura).

All Christians belong to one Body, and even if you are a Protestant you are mystically linked to the Catholic Church if it is through no fault of your own that you remain a Protestant. This is why the Second Council of the Vatican calls Protestants our “separated brethren”. Jesus Christ is not the author of confusion, and He did not start 33,000+ denominations. He founded one Church.

Sorry, Muslim, but I do not believe that God would have fooled all of the faithful disciples. He would not have deceived them into believing that it was the Lord Jesus Christ who was crucified and then replace it with someone else. There is one that is the author of confusion – and it is not God. For Muslims to attribute confusion to God just proves that the message they follow is not from the One Omnipotent Creator. Muhammad demoted the Lord Jesus because it was the only way he could make himself a Prophet. Notice that Jesus had hundreds of disciples and 12 apostles before he even revealed His true nature. Muhammad had none, and claimed the Angel Gabriel spoke the words of God to him. Muhammad convinced his followers by a show of physical might… Jesus Christ convinced by miracles and speech.

Do you remember the Satanic Verses? The verses that Muhammad thought were from the Angel but were from Satan and which were removed from the Qur’an? Maybe all of them were from Satan?
