General Description:
Notre Dame Fold Choir: Plainchant, Irish folksong, traditional and contemporary melodies, magnificats and psalms, all telling stories of women from the Christian tradition.
**SONG OF IONA - **This collection of twenty devotional songs and hymns reflects the distinctive Celtic spirituality which St. Columba brought to Iona 1400 years ago. The repertoire includes ‘A Touching Place’, ‘I Am For You’, ‘Hodie’ and ‘Easter Evening’
MORNING SONG - As with ‘Song of Iona’ and all the items on this recording originate from The Iona Community in Scotand. The material is a mixture of sadness at the injustice in the world, yet at the same a celebration of God’s wonderful creation. The recording reflects true Christian feelings of hope and salvation, offered to us through the love of God. (available on CD only)
