Is it a mortal sin to desire impure dreams but not want it in reality?

I know that having impure dreams is not a mortal sin because one doesn’t have his/her full consent to commit that grave sin while he/she is asleep. However because of THAT, I find myself wanting to have those dreams because I wouldn’t be committing a mortal sin. But I wouldn’t ever do such things while I’m fully conscious/awake. So would it be a mortal sin to desire impure dreams but not want it in reality? I don’t want to want these dreams.
I hope I’m not confusing anybody

:hmmm: Controlling ones dreams :newidea:
What an excelent idea, may be one day we might achieve that.

Then it will be a mortal sin…schuck!!!

You know the 3 rules
  1. serious matter, but 2) the person must know it is serious and then 3) freely commit it.

Then I would pray to not desire those kind of dreams.

The clue to your query is that you want to have the cake and eat it. You desire impure dreams. If such dreams come without your volition, then it is not a sin. If on the other hand you wish for them, irrespective of whether they come or not, then it is a sin. You cannot play hide and seek with God for He knows all your desires, thoughts, actions etc. Would not be better to hope to dream of Heaven? That would be doing the will of God.
