is it wrong?

hello. i was raised nondemoninational, and VERY anti-catholic. i have grown so much respect for catholicism tho lately. i have started attending a church that is part of the International Communion of the Charismatic Episcopal Church. and it is my first liturgical church. and i talked with a priest there about the liturgies and he said that it was from Jesus and the 12 Disciples. so is it wrong that some churches dont follow it? God bless!!!
 
I don’t know very much about the church you are attending, but I would suggest that if you like a liturgical church you would consider attending mass at a Catholic Church. It is the only church that was truly founded by Jesus and all other Christian Churches are a break off of it. Why go to a knock off when you can go to the original?

well this church is really cool. i dont really know the difference between episcopal and catholic, but they allow the gifts of the Spirit to move in worship and stuff. and they are soo loving, and the hold the seven Sacraments too. but i really dont know the difference.

This is a great opportunity to do more research on the subject of liturgy, and it’s role in the Church. I understand that the Charismatic Renewal of the Espiscopalian Church holds a more traditional stance on liturgy (unlike the ECUSA), but you’ve really got to check out the Catholic Church, ask questions as to why the liturgy your church may not be valid due to the break-off of Apostolic succession. You would need to see a direct line from the Apostles to today’s priests and bishops, and the only place I know where that occurs is in the Catholic Church (not to dispute the Eastern Orthodox churches - that’s another subject and another thread)…
