I am just going to leave this suggestion with you all before I leave on vacation for the month of July (2 weeks with family, one week at Steubenville summer conference, one week on retreat). Watch your parish bulletins and websites because many parishes have catechist formation classes and orientation in the summer or early fall. If you are that person who has had a nagging feeling in the back of your mind “I really ought to teach CCD / be an RCIA sponsor / help with youth group etc” listen up because that is the Holy Spirit talkin, yeah, talkin to YOU. Even if there is not a class, make up your own learning program – EWTN has great re-runs in the summer, rent videos and study guides from diocesan media library, ask the parish for a catechist manual for the grade you are interested in, or get on-line for a bible study. bye all have a great summer. Unless grandkids let me on their computers I probably won’t be checking in for a while, but I am in a crucial time for health issues and decision making about this ministry, so please pray for me.
