Why did Jesus eat the piece of baked fish in front of the Appostles in the Upper Room? When we are resurrected will we be eating? Did Adam and Eve eat fish, or just things that grew on trees and bushes? I guess I want to know what became of the fish? But it just makes me wonder… :o

I guess he did it (like he made Thomas touch him) to prove that he was physically risen and not just a ghost or spirit.

As for heaven - I honestly don’t know whether we’ll have physical bodies or what they’ll be like if we do.

we will have glorified bodies, like that in which Jesus appeared to his disciples after the resurrection.

I’m sure in part it was to demonstrate that He wasn’t merely a ghost, but rather that He was bodily resurrected.

I should hope so - I rather like eating. 🙂

I am inclined to believe that they had canines and incisors, and would draw the conclusion that they were omnivores; however, there’s some Biblical evidence that we weren’t meat eaters until some time later (but it could also simply be that it just wasn’t mentioned prior).

I would imagine that it was digested in the normal manner - Jesus was 100% man (and 100% God), and therefore had a 100% human digestive tract, even in His glorified body.

BTW, I’m pretty sure any responses you get will be mostly speculation.

God Bless,

Here’s an article with good, solid Catholic teaching on this subject:
