A friend of mine loaned me a magazine she subscribes to, called " “Alive Now:”
One of the articles is titled " Reading the Good Samaritan." When I got to the third paragraph I almost fell off my chair, and you may fall of your chair too when I read this paragraph to you.
" The Parable of the Good Samaritan is another one of those stories where God’s ideas about living in a right relationship are more demanding than ours. * To truly comprehend its radicalism, theologian Robert McAfee Brown suggested we substitute for the word ’ Samaritan’ the name that evokes in us our worst instincts toward bigotry and exclusion.
