I know that I have a lot more to learn about what this is all about before making up my mind about it.

Generally speaking, LifeSiteNews is not a reliable source of information. They are like the boy who cried wolf too many times. Catholics who wish to remain faithful to the Church would do well to avoid that website and any websites that link to their news feeds.

What some in the Vatican are doing is not the fault of a media outlet.
 
What is shocking is how far things have fallen so quickly. As the article correctly notes, Perry supports abortion; she claims she sold her soul to the devil, etc…but she’s considered appropriate to speak at a Vatican conference. Outrageous.
