I have just come up with an idea.

I will start up a google group for those who are currently discerning a vocation to the religious life.

Sort of a support group where all of us doing so can help support each other, talk about whats going on, provide encouragement, and what ever else we can come up with.

I know I have had many starts and stops and get frustrated at times.

What do ya’ll think of this?

Would those out there discerning such a thing be willing to participate?

David:

I do not know much about Google Groups (except from the old newsgoup/listserv days), but I was thinking of doing the same thing over on MSN. There were similar ones over there already, but they were relatively inactive. One thing I like about MSN is that you can tailor the site to you needs. This includes links, lists, message board, and chat.

That would be fine, I just think something could do some good and I would love to share my experiences and give encouragement to those discerning as well as recieve some.

I agree.

In fact, I know a number of individuals over on a MSN group that are discerning a vocation. This ranges from diocesan to FSSP to religious orders. The only one we do not seem to have over there is one from the Easter Rites.

As for me, I was supprised when the Vocation Director of my hometown dioces (Greensburg) told me that I was further along on my journey than I thought I was.

I will look into what goes into setting up a group over on MSN.

Please do and let me know what you guys come up with, I would like to be part of a discernemnt group. We really could use one here. Peace!

Well I usually keep my mouth shut. But with all the homos in the American CHurch and some in very poweful positions this is a very bad time for vocations. With many of the seminaries closed. I do not know the answer. We need more seminaries and more vocations however we can not take good conservative Christians and throw them to the gay wolves in Gay sheeps clothing.

I belive if the church is to last, we need a new order of technical, science and media vocations and seminaries. Where people are educated in the science of matter, stars and the three dimensions of God, son and holy spirit… These dimensions are reflected in many ways of our physical human existance, If man is to go beyond this point and into the stars or space or the future. We need to understand our place in the universe and the place God, the father, our light has for us. Not by Satan who pretends to be the light. We cannot deny, Gods presence in our future and have a future. Especially in the Catholic church.

Just went through the steps to create an MSN group. It is very easy to set one up.

I am looking at how I would want the group to look (from looking at other groups I belong to) and making notes of some ideas. Hopefully, I will have some time this weekend to work on this.

Maybe we should start a group, just to talk about a new order that is conservative in Nature but focuses on media, science, God and religon.

BTW there is no technical explanition for Biology. Cells have all these processes of microbology but theres no scientific explanation for why or how they occur. They just do. The same thing for Quantom Physics.

What we have is a tool, science that we can apply to humanity to improve our lives. We have computers and medicine as all these by products of science but no practical application for theology yet because some of it is edeveloping. We have an opportunity with the church and the agenda being droped. Maybe for the development of new orders. Just as the old orders were self sufficient with animals or maybe education. There is a future potentiol for new orders to develop in society and the church. Especially in poor nieghborhoods.
