I wanted to start a thread so that people could share any intimate moments with God or times when our Father has done the impossible in your life.

I hope that the stories strengthen my faith and increase my love for him

God Bless

Here’s one which comes close to being a miracle.

I have a medical condition, one part of which is osteoporosis (bone thinning which increases risk of fracture). There aren’t any obvious symptoms or sideffects, so I wasn’t diagnosed until I was 16. Unfortunately since I hadn’t taken any preventative measures my bones were already thin.

I had developed a hairline (incomplete) fracture in one of my thigh bones, unbeknown to us all because there was only very occasional pain with it, which I dismissed (being from a family of very physically tough people). But I did start favouring my unbroken leg just a little when I walked.

By sheer good luck I happened to attend Mass one day and caught up with an old friend of the family (since passed on) who I hadn’t seen for a long time. He was an orthopedic surgeon. Well he took one look at the way I walked and asked me about it.

God bless him, he not only insisted on giving me a lift home (I normally walked) but told my parents to get me x-rayed straight away without letting me walk anywhere.

It turned out that f I had walked any more on that leg AT ALL it probably would have fractured completely and required a total hip replacement (painful, costly and debilitating). As it was, I had pins put in but was spared a much worse evil.

That family friend himself said to me later ‘Jesus must really love you!’

I have experienced something more of a small miracle which I’m very grateful for. I’m a new teacher and my line of work is very challenging, as I work with young elementary children in before- and after-school programs. Most of their parents work a LOT, and this is a program that is meant to foster positive character traits and teach children values and certain curriculums even after a long day of school.

I have some very challenging children, and a particularly challenging 3rd grade girl. The situation was out of control, and I had been praying about it so much. One day, the Lord gave me the words to say, the ways in which to say it, and the resources to follow through. This young girl even came up to me after I handled the situation and said, “I’m sorry for the way I acted” and hugged me. Ever since then, the behavior has been under control. I had nearly lost hope and would be so frustrated and upset about the situation… I nearly cried when she said she was sorry. She let down her guard.

Might sound little or simple, but TRUST me, this truly was a miracle. 🙂

very inspiring indeed. sometimes God is watching out for you when you are not watching out for yourself
