Here’s one which comes close to being a miracle.
I have a medical condition, one part of which is osteoporosis (bone thinning which increases risk of fracture). There aren’t any obvious symptoms or sideffects, so I wasn’t diagnosed until I was 16. Unfortunately since I hadn’t taken any preventative measures my bones were already thin.
I had developed a hairline (incomplete) fracture in one of my thigh bones, unbeknown to us all because there was only very occasional pain with it, which I dismissed (being from a family of very physically tough people). But I did start favouring my unbroken leg just a little when I walked.
By sheer good luck I happened to attend Mass one day and caught up with an old friend of the family (since passed on) who I hadn’t seen for a long time. He was an orthopedic surgeon. Well he took one look at the way I walked and asked me about it.
God bless him, he not only insisted on giving me a lift home (I normally walked) but told my parents to get me x-rayed straight away without letting me walk anywhere.
It turned out that f I had walked any more on that leg AT ALL it probably would have fractured completely and required a total hip replacement (painful, costly and debilitating). As it was, I had pins put in but was spared a much worse evil.
That family friend himself said to me later ‘Jesus must really love you!’
