I think it would be good for us guys to share with each other and the Ladys how we can be modist ourselves.
  1. Wach your eyes. Be carefull what you look at and for how long you are looking.
  2. Whach your speech. No bragging. bad jokes, foul words, gossep,
3 If you are daiting. Do not be bold with hugs holding hands and kissing.

Alright people lets list some more ways men our modist. 🙂

why no holding hands? That shows affection, so does hugging. I agree though that making out in front of people is really tasteless though.

What I really don’t like is men walking around without their shirts on. We are all only human and our mind will want to go its own way. When I am looking out the car window, for example, and there is a man roller-blading or working construction with no short, then I have to look somewhere else. I resent having to do that. Both sexes should dress modestly.

Anecdote: We were buying boots for my older son. The saleswoman had on a “middy” tank top. She had to bend down several times to check for a good fit in the shoes. Even my boys realized that she was dressed immodestly (I have been drilling that into them since they were old enough to hear). We had some laughs in the car on the way home but also some good teaching points.

Also, maybe this is over the top, but I don’t like men in tank tops. Armpits on men (other than my husband) repulse me. Too personal!!!

Men, keep your shirts on!

I agrre, armpits should be covered. I once went to a barber who was wearing a sleavless t-shirt and that was the last time I went to them. Most men who don’t wear shirts out are disgusting. You women need to shape them up!

DITTO!!!

I’ll also add that men seem modest when they avoid interaction and/or conversation with women who are dressed on the scanty side.
My husband has a pet peeve about women wearing shirts with words or pictures on the chest area. He tries to keep guard over his eyes, and gets frustrated when he catches himself automatically looking to read what’s printed on a woman’s shirt. (the exception would be a shirt that says “One in the Oven” with a downward pointing arrow!)

I think shirts with words on them are really cheesy but I don’t think there is anythign wrong with them as long as you are reading what they say and not looking at where the words are positioned.

Agreed! My daughter and I were out to breakfast one Saturday and a male patron was wearing a loose, ripped tank top. I saw way too much! Women are plenty guilty, too. One of the advisors at the community college dresses in outfits my grandmother would have considered underclothes! Her dresses look like slips! —KCT

Its getting so we are seeing pictures of shirtless men or men in their underwear plastered all over the place…in magazines and bill boards. For some reason men seem to dismiss this and joke that only gay men look at them or something…do they really think straight women aren’t bothered by this? It would seem if you speak up you aren’t considered ‘normal’ or something because the thinking is that only men are tempted visually. Women are too. I know its not in the same way but its still there. 😦
