Below is an article I came across in the Buffalo News and below that is my response.

A girl wants to bring her lesbian date to Villa Maria High School prom and the administration said no. Some professor opined on how these things are so accepted, why all the fuss? Are we beyond hope? What do you think?

Dear Editor:

My great-aunt Sister Mary Benedict, a one-time teacher at Villa Maria Academy, is spinning over and over in her grave to think of what has become of her school according to reporter Jay Tokasz, in his column on March 26, entitled, “Gay student hit snag over date to Villa Prom”. I say good for Sister Wozniak for standing her ground against this childish, exhibitionist nonsense on the part of Miss Murphy and her alleged “date”.

It is true what Ritch Savins-Williams said about there being a real acceptance of sexual diversity in all its forms. The professor should have said there is an acceptance of sexual deviancy in all its forms because that is what we have come to in this society. You know things are pretty screwed up when a four-year old boy is brutalized to his death for refusing to call his lesbian mother’s partner “daddy”. It is spinning out of control and nobody seems to care. It is a blessing that Villa Maria is closing rather than allow this smearing of its good name to continue. I’m sorry its come to this, Sister Benedict, may you rest in peace. 😦
