I just got my mail out of the box and there was this small paperback “National Sunday Law” in my mailbox - the most anti-Catholic thing I’ve ever seen!!! It was addressed “resident” rather than one of our names. I want to know who sent this trash to my house? It has a non-profit # where the postage marking is but no return address. How can someone send something so offensive without so much as the courage to put their name on it? I could just scream. If someone sent something on the same level of offense to a household of Jewish or Muslim faith it would be on the 5 o’clock news and someone would be investigating. Okay, I think I can stop ranting now…
Can someone tell me what group does this and how they get our addresses?

National Sunday Law. Apparently, it’s 7th Day Adventists. There is a link to contact them if you want to complain about this pamphlet being sent to your house. If they’ll respond is another matter.

thanks for your help Della, I will send them a message. grrr.

I’ll bet you were not sent this at random. Someone requested that they send it to you.

Oh jeez, it never dawned on me that even though it was addressed to “resident” someone may have sent me the book to “save me”. That makes it even worse!

Veggiegirl,

You sound pretty angry that someone would be so concerned over your salvation. Try to remember that most of the time, this literature is sent in good faith, but due to a severe lack of understanding about the Church. Don’t forget to pray for whoever sent it.

Hi Veggiegirl I’ll join you in praying for that misguided soul.

I got both *National Sunday Law *and *The Secret Terrorists *dropped on my doorstep.

Guess I really need saving!

Ah, Dr. Colusus you bring me back to the center. Praying for them would be a better response than getting riled up. Thanks.

Of course, this doesn’t mean that you can’t write to them and tell them you don’t appreciate being targeted by one of their members who doesn’t even have the good grace to include his return address. This sort of snail mail spamming is just as reprehensible as doing it online. You don’t have to put up with it without making your displeasure known–you can do it politely, but you can do it.

The people mailing or droping this book out are the Shepherd Rods, not the Seventh Day Adventist.

Hmmm…until this thread was posted on today, it hadn’t been posted on for 2 1/2 years.
