I’m not sure where to put this, but I’m looking to find out which religious communities are affiliated with LCWR and which are not. I may have to move my children from their school and wish to put them in a school with good clergy/religious presence. I’m not fond of what I’ve heard about the LCWR leadership, and do not want them at a school with LCWR affiliated nuns if they are as out of line as news reports say.

Any help so I can research this would be great. I really want the kids to be exposed to religious communities who are very orthodox in their attitude.

Thank you.

I don’t know where you can find a list of LCWR associated communities, but Council of Major Superiors of Women Religious (CMSWR) has a list of their associated communities here.

Thanks.

I think the other school I’m looking at, if we move there, would be non-CMSWR and only one mass per week. I really really really like daily mass for my kids.

Ugh. The hunt continues. Thanks for the information! I will keep it handy!

See what kind of terminology they use. If they say things like “the New Evangelization” or “the second Vatican Council”, it might be safe. If they say “in the Spirit of Vatican 2” a lot…run awaaaaay! :D:D:D

Amusingly accurate. :D:D
