Does anybody know what is the official name for Palm Sunday? Thanks.

It seems the official name is Palm Sunday, or Dominica in Palmis. Here is a thorough explanation from New Advent’s Catholic Encyclopedia.

Just prior to Vatican II it was really called 2nd Passion Sunday, before about 1956 it was just called “Palm Sunday.” People out of habit still called it “Palm Sunday” and they still do it today. “Passion Sunday” is its liturgical name.
