It’s also known as Passion Sunday.

"Ignorance of the Scriptures is ignorance of Christ." - St. Jerome

I’ve heard the official name as “Palm Sunday of the Lord’s Passion”

Dominica in Palmis de Passione Domini
(sez Liturgia Horarum, although shortened to *Dominca de Passione Domini *in the page headings)

In the pre-1970 (Vatican II) Liturgical Calender, Passion Sunday was actually the Sunday before Palm Sunday, and was the beginning of what was called the “Passiontide”.

Just prior to Vatican II it was really called 2nd Passion Sunday, before about 1956 it was just called “Palm Sunday.” People out of habit still called it “Palm Sunday” and they still do it today. “Passion Sunday” is its liturgical name.
