Did anyone else watch a special on Peter & Paul on PBS? It was a slick production with the usual PBS Theo-illogical group of experts (Crossan, Fredriksen, and others) the experts, of the last name Levine, made a mention about St. Paul’s collection to the church of Jerusalem (Acts 11:27-30). She said, “I do not believe St. Paul’s gift was accepted”; which lends to a belief in a theologically fragmented apostolic church. The narrator made a comment that only the Pauline communities survived to form today’s church.

I watch this type of programs; even though some times I get annoyed of some of the things that get said, but at least I get an insight of why people are so confused with Christianity. Any comments on this?

Part of the annual Easter/Christmas assualt on Christianity in general and Catholicism in particular. See my current thread:

My advice is to avoid (and encourage others to avoid) all secular “religious” themed programs this time of year. This is the kind of tripe that’s invaribly presented with the intention to scandalize and weaken people’s faith.
