Please pray for my friend who is suddenly considering the priesthood

Hi have a friend who is in his 20s now, who didn’t seem very spiritual in his teenage days. He was quite successful in his secular pursuits - he finished his engineering degree in Electronics and is now pursuing an MBA. A year or two ago he had a very difficult situation and then someone prayed for him. Within 5 minutes of that prayer, he got a phone call and it was conveyed to him that his problem was solved. He was quite surprised at this miraculous intervention of God and from that point on he knew God was there.

Recently, he suffered a huge road accident and had several stitches on his face. Miraculously, after a while his face became normal and you couldn’t tell that it was the same face that had those numerous stitches (my dad told me there were 35 stitches!). And during that time he was telling his parents that he was thinking about the priesthood and his parents were stunned, because even they didn’t think of him as a person who was spiritually inclined.

Please pray for him! 🙂
 
I will pray for him! How exciting that he is discerning a priestly vocation! I know you think he hasn’t been spiritual, but you may not know what has been happening on the INSIDE, since many people keep their call very private and personal. Some don’t want to believe that it is a call…some argue with the Holy Spirit about it for years…some just want to make VERY certain before making such a commitment. I don’t know if your friend is one of those, or if he’s mistaking his gratitude for a need to become a priest, but either way, just discerning a vocation will be a good process for him.

May the Church grow in vocations of all kinds!
