Pray for little Mexican girl dying of heart disease

I went to Mass in Spanish yesterday and the priest was announcing that a little Mexican girl, Kimberly, a girl they’ve been praying for, is very ill and is expected to die very soon. Her parents were in Mass. They looked like they were in their early to mid 20’s and I think it’s their only daughter. These poor people were bawling during the entire Mass…

At the end of Mass, the priest asked them to come to the front with their little girl’s dress (the one she’ll be buried with) so he could bless it and have the rest of the parishoners pray for this little girl. The dress was very small, so Kimberly can’t be older than 3-4 yrs of age. She’s had 4 heart surgeries and is not getting any better. They expect her to die w/in days.

This family is very poor and wants/has to take their little one to Mexico. I think they only came here for her medical needs and are going back to their hometown. They were taking donations after Mass so they could pay to transfer her body to Mexico.

I cannot imagine how horrible this must feel, but just listening to that in Mass, talking about it to my DH and my boss, and typing it makes me cry.

Please help me pray so this girl may either get better or be taken straight to heaven and so her parents and family will have enough strength to deal with the loss of Kimberly. Also pray that they may be able to gather the money they need to take her body to their hometown and bury her there if/when she dies.

I pray for this holy innocent, that she be spared pain and suffering as her days on earth dwindle to a close. I pray for God’s healing love to encircle her family as they struggle to deal with the loss, and also so that they recognize the blessing of Kimberly, though a brief blessing.

And I also give thanks for YOUR loving and generous heart. I give thanks for the gift of you.
 
Our Father, who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Amen.

An appeal that truly tugs at the heartstrings and will keep this child and her family in daily prayer…

I am praying for this dear little one and for her family. What a sad, very sad situation and one that will be on my mind for some time. My prayers join those of your parish, who certainly was undoubtedly touched by this little girl’s story. May the Lord comfort her family at this time and continue to keep them after her passing.

Dear Mary, Our Lady of Guadalupe, please hold this family in your arms and make them experience your loving embrace and your Son’s deep love for them. May they find comfort knowing their little one will be with you in Heaven.
 
I haven’t heard anything since I went to Mass in a different Parish. I’ll call to see what has happened.
 
I contacted a local radio station to see if they could help me with helping this family financially. They called the Parish to see what they could do to help, and they sent me an email telling me that Kimberly passed away already:crying: and the family hadn’t come back to Church. The priest told them that probably the family went back to Mexico already, but if they heard back from the family, that they’d let them know the radio station is trying to help them. 😦

May God receive this child with open arms, and may He bring strength to this family to cope with their loss.
 
Praying for the repose of this little girls soul and for her family, that they may find some comfort.
