Salvete, omnes!
Does God work in the following way:
Say, you pray for something that you desire. Say it is lawful and according to God’s Will.
Does God often grant desires like this not always by intervening in the present but by, in the past, having placed a person within a particular time/context by bringing him into the world at a particular time, place and context? Indeed, in this way, God would not have directly to interfere with the wills of others ans He might often have to do to grant the desires of some. It would be more about placement in circumstances rather than direct alteration of wills.
Does God indeed for every person, place them intentionally within a particular time, place and context with direct intentionality, or does He often leave the creation of a soul, in some sense, to us via the process of procreation which would initiate His placement of the soul, so that, two choose to procreate and then God concedes to the creation of a soul to fit that body? Basically, how much is controlled and how much is left to “chance” as a part of God’s permissive (rather than directly controlling) Will? (These latter questions are, admittedly, a bit tangential to the primary topic at hand but do surely relate back to/have some bearing on it.)
Again, maybe such a question is unanswerable, but, is there any evidence either from Scripture or Tradition or even logical reason that would speak for or against such a method of operation?
What do you guys think of this? Is there any Church teaching addressing this issue?
Gratias.
