I’m looking for books, talks or being pointed in the right direction of pre historic man and religion. Even good resources on general Paleo anthropology will help. But especially on pre historic man and God. Thanks y’all!

It looks like you haven’t gotten many responses yet. I don’t have much to offer, but you might enjoy G.K. Chesterton’s The Everlasting Man Chapters 1-4. Here’s a few of the chapter titles:

I The Man in the Cave
II Professors and Prehistoric Men
III The Antiquity of Civilisation
IV God and Comparative Religion

Each chapter discusses what we can and cannot infer relative to Catholic theology based on the information and guesses of early nineteenth century historians regarding prehistoric man.

Please note that some of the basic tenets in Paleoanthropology Science of Human Evolution directly contradict some basic Catholic doctrines.

Also, one needs to be careful with terminology. For example. Adam is the first historic man. There would not be humans before him.

Man’s beginning relationship with God is found in the first three chapters of Genesis.
That starts with Genesis 1: 26.
