As I understand the Trinity in the Catholic Faith, the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost are of “One Essence”. This being said, how do we square the Resurrection of Christ with the Catholic explanation of the Trinity? If Jesus is the Resurrected Lord forever with a body of Flesh and Bones and God the Father with a spiritual body, then how can we say God and Jesus are of “One Essence” Must we deny the Eternal Nature of Jesus Christ as a Resurrected being and make Him a Spirit at some future date thus taking away His Resurrected status?

The Trinity in the Catholic Faith, the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost are of “One Essence" in their Divinity. Only Christ has His Divinity united to humanity. It is only Christ’s humanity that was resurrected. His Divinity remained united to His human soul and His human body after death. Even though his human soul and human body were not united to each other for the days He was in the tomb.
