I really got a laugh out of this one, seeing that Romney’s foreign policy is practically identical to Obama’s. They are both in favor of an unjust, hegemonic, interventionist, unconstitutional, reckless, expensive foreign policy. They both put Israeli and Saudi national interests above the national interests of the United States. Shame on both of them!

Romney is making a major foreign policy speech this week

We already know his foreign policy. It is virtually identical to Obama’s. It is just a matter of which one will kowtow further in front of Israel and Saudi Arabia. Romney is also prone to making irresponsible public statements, like his remarks on Jerusalem, his remarks on Ambassador Steven’s murder, and his extremely wild and misinformed statement that Russia is our number 1 geopolitical foe. I don’t think he is fit to be the Commander in Chief. Neither is Obama for that matter.

Why were Romney’s statement on Jerusalem and his remarks on Ambassador Steves wrong?

June 16 2009 ‘President Obama said Tuesday that it would be counterproductive for the United States “to be seen as meddling” in the disputed Iranian presidential election, dismissing criticism from several leading Republicans that he has failed to speak out forcefully enough on behalf of the Iranian opposition’

He was silent for too long on the green revolution in Iran and later regretted his ‘muted stance’

Congress was fighting for Iran sanctions since 2009, Tim Geithner tried to stop congress, then when bipartisan support got so big administration supported it. Obama resisted sanctions on Iran for too long. NY times article says Obama has failed to create personal relationships with foreign leaders. Obama ignored ‘advice from elders on his staff at the State Department and at the Pentagon’ in asking for Hosni Mubarak to resign etc

Except Romney was right from the beginning on the protests overseas up until our diplomat and Navy Seals were murdered, President Obama was on the side of the protesters! As a Russian American, I give Romeny a lot of credit for at least sniffing out what Putin is trying to do. Putin destroys the Russian Constitution and gives himself an other term and what is the American response, President Obama called and congratulated him. Putin knows Obama is weak that is why he is testing Obama’s will in Syria. Putin is even smart enough to figure out that Obama is batteling Catholics because he just had Russia support some prolife legisation the Vatican was proposing at some UN conference in South America. RUSSIA has never been Vatican friendly.

If Romney’s and Obama’s Middle East policies are the same, why is it Obama, not Romney, is saying we (the USA) are the cause of all of the riots in the Middle East? There is very simple way of clearing up part of the mess, just have Isreal and the US turn themselves over to the rioters. :p:D:shrug:

so are you, those who say that the Pres and Romney have the SAME policy, saying that if Romney was elected and we had another embassy attacked and ambassador killed, you say that Romney would poo-poo it and say it was obviously because of some anti islam video/movie/play/tshirt/song/or dance routine instead of saying the TRUTH? Why did Obama take FOREVER to admit it was a TERRORIST attack and didn’t have anything to do with a VIDEO? That it was obviously timed to happen on 9/11 for a reason?

Or are you saying he would decline to meet in person with Israel’s PM? Or would send aid to ME countries that are run by the Muslim Brotherhood? I seriously doubt ROMNEY would do THAT…

Unless you mean something else, because I want to know what Romney’s policy is and how it is EXACTLY THE SAME

How many times can one just flat out lie, and not pay a political price for doing so?
Our beloved and hopefully soon to be Saint, Archbishop Fulton Sheen once remarked
“The truth is the truth even if nobody believes it, and a lie is still a lie, even if everybody believes it.”

Yes, they both subscribe to an interventionist, unconstitutional, reckless foreign policy that is making America less safe. The only difference is to the degree that this policy should be applied. Romney actually wants MORE intervention in Syria despite the fact that we now know that the rebels are largely al-Qaeda. Maybe Romney and Obama could be arrested under the provisions of the NDAA for supporting the enemy in time of war.🙂

Actually, Romney’s ME policies are closer to George Bush’s, which Romney supported all through his presidency.

In all, I will not vote for a president who is not committed to getting us out of Afghanistan.

if Romney does give a major speech this week on his foreign policy, i will be interested to hear it.
i would say that if Obama has a foreign policy - it hasn’t worked very well.
