Saint or prayers for family feud?

Hi, I’m hoping someone could give me some ideas. We are in the middle of a family feud (one sided) over a difference in religion. My in-laws are Mormon, and we are ex-Mormon, now Catholic. They have been terribly hurtful and nasty, especially to me. We are trying our best not to be angry, and to pray for them, but it is so hard! Is there a Saint whose intercession we can ask to heal this problem or any special prayers we could be saying? We know it would take a miracle for their conversion, but we are hoping to just be able to diffuse the animosity coming from them.

Andrea, I’m so sorry you have to deal with this anger and tension in your own home. Three Saints come to mind: St. Joseph for families, St. Jude for hopeless cases, and St. Michael the Archangel for the struggle with temptation - in dealing with them with truthfilled charity.

Try a novena to Mary, Undoer of Knots. I can send it to you if you want it.
 
Lots of Saints were persecuted by their families. St. Thomas Acquinas was kidnapped and kept in a cell by his brothers and mothers when he was on the way to join a monastic order. St. Monica was abused by her husband and MIL. St. Catherine of Sienna refused to marry and so was made a family servant in her own home. St. Elizabeth Seton converted and was rejected by her family and community.

And, of course, Jesus was spit upon, beaten, and hung on a cross by his family. 😦 :mad:

St. Monica comes to mind, as does any member of the Holy Family (St. Joseph, the Blessed Mother, Jesus Himself).
 
Thank you all for your suggestions! I will look further into all of them. I can’t believe I didn’t think of St. Jude, as this certainly does feel helpless.

Thank you for this offer, I’m very interested in this. I have found a couple of different versions online, is there an official one? If it wouldn’t be too much trouble, would you mind sending it?
