Wednesday, January 24, is the feast of St. Francis de Sales, bishop of Geneva and doctor of the church. He is also known for his great gentleness, and “accomplished courtesy.” He is best known for his making spirituality more available to the laity through “The Introduction to the Devout Life.” He also developed the Spiritual Directory, which is followed by the Visitation and the Oblates & Oblate Sisters of St. Francis de Sales.
Along with St. Jane Frances de Chantal, St. de Sales founded the Order of the Visitation of Holy Mary. Here is the clearninghouse site my organization built pro-bono for the Visitation in the US:

The Oblates of St. Francis de Sales were co-founded by a Visitation nun, Ven. Marie de Sales Chappuis, VHM, and Blessed Louis Brisson. The Oblates have been at my parish church since the 1989. They are experiencing a vocations crisis.
The Oblate Sisters of St. Francis de Sales were founded by Blessed Louis and St. Leonie Aviat. They were originally founded to tend to the girls working in the mills. The Oblate Sisters are now an international community:

The Missionaries of St. Francis de Sales, also known as the Fransalians, are also an international community, founded in the Salesian spirit.

Last, but certainly not least, the Salesians of St. John Bosco utilize the gentleness of Salesian spirituality in their missions:
