SC -- a very good document yet ignored by some

I read the Sacrosanctum Concilium and ive learned that Vatican 2 was never a modern change in the liturgy of the CC. It was stated that use of Latin must be preserved an used in common prayers and chants. And that Gregorian chants must be given a pride in the liturgy. I dont know why some priests are ignoring these such important thing in the tradition of the church.

The Divine Office is never given attention in the life of the church in some diocese. In my parish i can say that only few ever knew the Divine Office, though lay people is not obliged to pray all the office but they are encouraged. But how can they be encouraged if the people dont even know the Divine Office.

As a lay person who wanted to at least help my parish to bring out the beauty of the Liturgy according to the Sacrosanctum Concilium, what can you at least recommend for me to do not and not offending the priest?

Last week I substituted for our DRE in doing a in-service catechism class for Catechism teachers in our Parish, and the subject was liturgy. I discussed some things related to the LOH, and asked how many of them had heard of it - none had.

Our Church does the morning prayer every day before the 8:30 weekday/Saturday Mass, I suggested they stop by and join in!
