Luke 23:26

4 As they led him away they took hold of a certain Simon, a Cyrenian, who was coming in from the country; and after laying the cross on him, they made him carry it behind Jesus.

Can anyone point me to an Old Testament reference (parallel) for Simon who carried Christ’s Cross in Luke’s Gospel?

God Bless

Perhaps Abraham’s two servants and the donkey who presumably carried the wood for the holocaust until they got near Mount Moriah when Abraham laid the wood on Isaac’s shoulders. (Genesis 22)
