Sisters of St. Agnes, Wisconsin

Founded in Wisconsin in 1858 by an Austrian missionary priest, this community’s trials were so extreme that in 1861 they were reduced to one blind sister. God sent Mary Hazotte to them, and they began to prosper after moving from Barton to Fond-du-Lac.

While the older history of the Sisters of St. Agnes was pretty good, there is a much better one that came out about 10 years ago by Margaret Lorimer, CSA, Ordinary Sisters: The Story of the Sisters of St. Agnes.

I received my copy today. What a thick book! And all that for less than $10! Autographed by the author, to boot!
