St. Martin’s feast was the 3rd. The Southern Dominican Province is under his patronage. This particular province had only one ordination this year, as compared to about 10 for the Eastern Province and about 5 for the Western and Central Provinces. The Southeastern US needs a greater Dominican presence. The sisters are already represented by the St Cecilia Congregation in Nashville.
