There's a slow poison out there that's severely damaging our children and threatening to tear apart our culture. The ironic part is, it's a "health food," one of our most popular. Now, I'm a health-food guy, a fanatic who seldom allows anything into his kitchen unless it's organic. I state my bias here just so you'll know I'm not anti-health food.
The dangerous food I’m speaking of is soy. Soybean products are feminizing, and they’re all over the place. You can hardly escape them anymore.

I have nothing against an occasional soy snack. Soy is nutritious and contains lots of good things. Unfortunately, when you eat or drink a lot of soy stuff, you’re also getting substantial quantities of estrogens.

Estrogens are female hormones. If you’re a woman, you’re flooding your system with a substance it can’t handle in surplus. If you’re a man, you’re suppressing your masculinity and stimulating your “female side,” physically and mentally.

thank you for the laughs…that was the funniest garbage I have read in a long time:D

Thread title’s funny!

But I have to admit I’ve also ready studies to this effect. It has to do with the excess estrogens that are now being pumped into a lot of foods.
There are different sorts of soy products out there… things like soy sauce and such are fermented so it doesn’t have the same effects…

I’m no expert here… I just have read studies to this effect… it’s not totally a joke…

Uhhh. Sorry! You should check up on the facts of estrogen uptake.
it is a joke…sorry…
if their was a bit of truth in it than my eldest son would be a flaming gay…as he was feed soy formula…and needles to say he is not;)

** Hormones and Drugs **
Code:
** Estrogen ** has been used to effectively decrease sex drive, fantasies, sexual pleasure, and erections. It must be taken for the patient’s lifetime, since sex drive will return when use of the drug is terminated. Estrogen has serious side effects, including feminization (with growth of breasts and risk of breast cancer), severe nausea and vomiting, and possibly irreversible damage to the gonads. Estrogen implants have eliminated nausea and vomiting but not the other side effects.
Homosexuality

…Without testosterone, estrogen serves as the “default” hormone and causes female development (2). The term sex-specific behavior refers to gender-typical traits, whether the actions are themselves sexual (like rats mounting) or simply social (like young boys typically playing in a more aggressive manner than do girls).

Testosterone, Estrogen, Related Hormones and Heterochronic Patterns
"Yalom et al. (1973) studied 20 16-year old boys of diabetic mothers, who had received estrogen or progesterone during pregnancy. These boys showed less heterosexuality and less masculinity than 20 control boys. Netley and Rovet (1982) showed that among 33 males with 47,XXY syndrome, 24% were nonrighthanded, compared to 10% of a control group. ... In the present study, as well as in Lindesay (1987), only homosexual men were studied. In Rosenstein and Bigler (1987) and McCormick et al. (1990), both men and women were studied, and in the latter study, a significant increase in lefthandedness (or rather nonrighthandedness) was obtained for women. This was assumed to be related to higher-than-normal levels of prenatal testosterone levels. In their results, the increase in lefthandedness in homosexual women (which have lower occurrence than men in the general population) is much larger than that of homosexual men. It is, therefore, fair to assume that the increase in testosterone, believed to cause both lefthandedness and homosexuality in women, will give a more pronounced effect in women than in men." (Gotestam, K.O., Coates,T.J., Ekstrand, M. (1992) Handedness, dyslexia and twinning inhomosexual men. International Journal Neuroscience 63 (3-4): 184)

interesting…so how does this explain my non-gay son who is very masculine???
I mean he was feed soy formula, he eats soy on a regular basis…well so does the whole family for that matter…but we do as the Asians do and balance it with other healthy things…
I take these studies with a grain of salt because the conclusions are not always applicable to every person…my son is a perfect example of that:)

I would agree it doesn’t happen in every case. My wife had adenomyosis. When we were doing research back then we found that plastics contain false estrogens that are taken up by the female reproductive system in place of natural estrogen causing all kinds of problems. The environment contains real dangers. We should be careful. 93% of breast cancers are environmental, not genetic. We should listen and do objective research.

LOL… I don’t think it makes everyone gay… it’s just a study, which means there are statistics involved…

I’ve read several articles on the subject… just mostly noting that moderation is key (as in EVERYTHING in life, righ!?!)…

Excessive soy in your diet may cause issues due to the extra estrogen and such… just something to be aware of… 🙂

I agree what I breath (especially here in NY/NJ) is gonna kill me before something I eat…there really are nasty things out there (in the enviroment).
But if you look at things realistically, everything in the enviroment can cause you harm, I dont want to live in a bubble…so everything in moderation.
I mean plastics caused your wife problems…they have no effect on my family…soy causes some woman to get breast cancer and in others it has no effect… we can be aware of things in the eviroment but if you go overboard than nothing in life is really safe.

So, soy makes kids gay. Dolls makes kids gay (boys). Cars and trucks make kids gay (girls). A mothers hormones make kids gay. A child’s position as a family member (mostly the youngest) makes kids gay. Am I missing any more from the “studies” that have come out? I think people seek out gays and try to find out what they have in common so that they can prove that being homosexual is genetically based or based on some common environmental factor. Basically, if they can’t prove there’s a gene that causes homosexuality, they have to find a way to blame the parents. Are there ligitimate reasons why certain people don’t like certain genders, sure (like a girl being molested by her father could make her disgusted with males, a mother dressing up her son in makeup and dresses, that could make him confused) but simple things like food and toys, come on, isn’t that a bit of a stretch?
