Just another example of the arrogance of media and entertainment elite:

Stern: My Fans Are 'Cheap B**s’

Howard Stern is angry more fans haven’t followed him to satellite radio. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, the 52-year-old shock jock lashes out at those of his fan base who haven’t made the transition to Sirius Satellite Radio.

Full Story When will they learn we are not mindless.

BTW: The "*"s are from the article.

The topic of Howard doesn’t belong in this forum. He is only “elite” to satan.

Maybe he’s worried that his contract will sink Serius.

At least then EWTN might move, as I would gladly move with them from Serius. Has anyone noticed that EWTN is right above Stern in the scrolling channel listing on the Serius radio? Coincidence? EWTN used to be right below “Out Q Gay Radio.”

Neither one of them is next to EWTN in my presets.

As far as Howard is concerned–WAH WAH WAH :crying: Maybe he’ll have to go get a real job.

Howard Stern is just an old hoodlum. I wonder if he’s ever danced with the devil in the moon light.

I’m glad that Stern is being humbled. He was never very talented or funny. I hate the genre of “shock value” entertainment and that’s all he does.

Turn the dial. [Do radios still have “dials”.]

Or close the radio completely and say some prayers for the Conversion of the United States.

Oh, we don’t listent to him. Hope we didn’t give that impression. We are just in awe of his exaggerated sense of self!

Some old radios still have dials. Most are digital now though, you can type in the number of the station you want on a little keypad. Many will also do ‘auto-search’ (search for a station that isn’t fuzz, when it finds one it will stop searching temporarily so you can say either search again or keep this station). In addition most radios have several ‘quick select’ buttons so you can ‘store’ your favorite stations in memory and select them just by a single press of a button.

Thanks to technology we now have even more and faster ways of turning off this trash (-:

I find Howard Stern’s idiocity and tastelessness to be quite amusing. I’ve listened to him before. Way overrated, if you ask me. Besides, why would this man make me angry? I have Michael Savage to do that. =)

To paraphrase Oscar Wilde, if that’s how Howard treats his fans, he doesn’t deserve to have any.

But we knew that all along . . .

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Yep.

I used to believe there was no true evil in the world. My belief was that all that appeared evil was really the ramification of the misguided.

Whenever my mind begins to believe again in this way, I think of the Howard Stern show. There really is true evil, for the sake of evil, in this world.

Totally agree. A few years ago a lady at work (raised Catholic) kept on telling me “oh you just have to listen to Howard.” I said “ok.” I listened to him for two weeks. It was nothing but locker room trash. The thing is it was the same trash everyday, boring, boring oh yeah did mention boring.

I think he only had a little over 300-radio stations. Compare that to Rush with over 600.

You’re so right highly overrated.

Thanks to mp3 downloads I can listen to Catholic stuff all day long.

eh.It’s just entertaiment. Turn the dial if you don’t like it. I wouldn’t consider Howard Stern “evil”. The guy has a talent for Dirty jokes and making fun of the world. As long as you don’t prescribe to some of the antics that go on during his show in your heart, you are not sinning.
There are more important things to worry about then what Howard Stern is saying on the radio. Come on now.

This is just part of the banter which comes with showmanship. Create a controversy. But, ultimately, it’s just talk for the sake of talk.

Well I respect that we all have an opinion.

Stern’s show, conducts pools predicting who will die and when.
Entices girls younger then my two college daughters to remove thier clothes and do things that if I were to mention them here the moderator would likely delete the post (and rightly so). Humiliating degradation of the handicapped, crippled and menally ill is made for the sake of humor. One person who was the subject of the shows humilation and jokes (I’ll leave out his name; yes I was an adament Stern fan a few years back. Even the man’s name was used to humilate him) commited suicide. Coincidence? Another matter of opinion.

If this isn’t sickening and revolting I’d be hard-pressed to believe anything is. I have an opinion too. My opinion is it is evil. Evil for the sake of evil.

This is taken a bit out of context. I have the ET article, and it said he laughed sardonically immediatly after the cheap bastards line. He was actually talking about how he was neurotically unsatisfied with his life, and hitting the four million mark still didn’t make him feel fuffiled.

Miljoy, I think your a bit harsh. Very few things in this world are evil for the sake of evil. Most of them are evil for the sake of money.
