Summaries of the Qur'an?

Does someone have a link to a summary of the chapters of the Qur’an? Or atleast the basic gist of the book? Its for a research assignment. And I am overwhelmed.

In that link, the Surats (chapters) of the Holy Qur’an are numbered from 1 to 114 and are also linked to a new page where a brief explanation of the name of the Surat, its historical background (reason for revelation), its topic etc. are given.

the Qu’ran is pretty big and the chapters are sort of random.its hard to get the jist of the whole thing…
but the USC link is some help…
the newadvent… do you really want to learn about something from a site that is out there to demote it?

Look I am devout Catholic too, but honestly, I am a kid asking for help on an assignment here, I truly do not need time wasted from clich’e fighting which trivialises the entire nature of religion anyway. I share your zeal for spreading the Gospel, but please understand I am stressed with this thing, so unless you are here to help or give me support with prayers I ask you to stay away.

To my knowledge there are no chapters dedicated solely to wudhu or ghusl, but there are verses which command Muslims to perform wudhu and ghusl before making the ritual Islamic prayers.

well, unfortunately, people like him makes your religion look bad…and we are no excuse either… we have plenty of people like him too… but cest, way to go and try to ruin some kids learning experience…

i believe the wudhu and gas’l comes from the hadiths…not sure if its in the Qu’ran…
did you choose the topic on Islam or did your teacher give it to you?

It is an extremely wide essay, covering the Mosque, the Rituals, the Sacred Texts, the festivals…

i would say… gasp… Islam’s contribution to women :eek: and the process of learning…look up avicenna, avicerros, etc…

for an individual i would say it allowed prayer and devotion to God without going thru someone else…

I’d rather die than abandon the faith, and for you to insinuate “minors” are naive and easily convinced is an insult to the many martyrs my age group boasts.

Stop attacking Muslims for absolutely no reason please, you catch more flies with honey than vinegar. A muslim foundation gave me material for my assignment via mail without charging…So they can’t be all that bad 😉 Yes ofcourse we want them all to be Catholic, but think, how effective is your approach?

I also fail to see how such meaningless comments could possibly further the Gospel of Christ…If you were really worried you should have PM’d me.
