Is the bible code, a strictly uncatholic idea, or do Catholics believe in this also?

I geuss what im trying to say is, is it okay to believe in it, and is there any truth in what people are saying about it! šŸ™‚

I saw a television program once about the Bible Code, and it pointed out that you can use a computer to find such codes in any book of sufficient length. Someone, for example, found similar codes in Moby Dick.

I read an article on how they predicted (well events that already happened to the researchers but after Moby Dick was written) all sorts of crazy events very accurately in Moby Dick using the same premiss that the Bible Code does. I would basically say when you have a 3,000 page volume and you make up the rules to look for things in it, you can find anothing you want it to.
 
I mean that any lengthy book is going to have enough coincidences that you might find such a ā€œcodeā€ in it. You have to admit the Bible is a lengthy book.

In other words, any ā€œcodeā€ you might find is just a coincidence.
 
Thanks you for the imput. However is this just your opinion, or would it truly be ill advised to put any time in reading in to those things? as in, only a fool would put any stock in to it.

Anyoen correct me if Iā€™m wrong but I think the author of the Bible Code is in tune with the LaHayes and other dispensatonalists, who believe the Catholic Church will become the Whore of Babylon.

If we put a lot of faith in the Bible Code theories I think weā€™re all in trouble.
 
I donā€™t believe it is endorsed by the Church.

I wouldnā€™t put any more stock in it than I would an astrological forecast.
 
I think you just cracked the Code! šŸ˜ƒ Im staying well away from any anti Catholic nonsense. šŸ™‚
