Vasectomy hindrance to remarry

One of my friends got divorced and has recently met a nice catholic woman. He had a vasectomy which he was in his first marriage. Does the church not allow men to get remarried after they had a vasectomy as they are now unable to have children? His soon-to-be fiance is ok with it.

Impotence is the only hinderance to getting married as far as I can tell…perhaps he should speak with his priest regarding this.
 
Can. 1084 §1. Antecedent and perpetual impotence to have intercourse, whether on the part of the man or the woman, whether absolute or relative, nullifies marriage by its very nature.
§2. If the impediment of impotence is doubtful, whether by a doubt about the law or a doubt about a fact, a marriage must not be impeded nor, while the doubt remains, declared null.
§3. Sterility neither prohibits nor nullifies marriage, without prejudice to the prescript of ⇒ can. 1098.
 
Well, first and foremost, he needs a declaration of nullity. Then we can worry about the vasectomy.
 
He could attempt a reversal, which, by submitting to God’s will, would probably result in great blessings on their marriage relationship, even if the reversal doesn’t work.

He can, but he is not required by the church to do so.

I agree - the declaration of nullity is the first step. Without that they can forget about being married in the Catholic Church as he would still be considered married to his first wife, regardless of a civil divorce.
