I have a question about this morning’s Mass. When the priest takes some water and adds it to the wine and says, " By the mystery of this water and wine… etc." Then he says, “Blessed are you, Lord, God of all creation. Through your goodness we have this wine to offer, fruit of the vine and work of human hands. It will become our spiritual drink.”
What if he added water to the chalice with wine but not to the little cruet(?) which held the wine to be put in a crystal glass for the distribution of the blood? Did that wine in the cruet become the blood of Christ at the consecration? Thank you.
Peace of Christ to all.
