**NEW YORK (AP) - A police helicopter and sharpshooters armed with tranquilizer guns were no match for a wily coyote on the loose Wednesday in Central Park.

At one point, authorities tried to corner the animal near the park’s skating rink, but the clever creature jumped into the water, ducked under a bridge, then scampered through the rink grounds and ran off.**

So if Wily coyote cant catch the road runner, and we cant catch Wily Coyote, that means we cant catch the road runner either. its simply logic really. MEEP MEEEEP.

We could have the sheep dog, whom Wylie E. Coyote is teamed up in some cartoons with, hunt down the coyote. He seems to have an easy time with him. 🙂

I heard on Fox about an hour ago that they had caught him.
Does that mean the grill needs to be started and lunch is ON?

Roy says coyotes taste bad no matter how you cook them…or was that dingos? Anyway, that critter is 600 miles away. If you want him, you go to NYC to pick him up.

I’ll bet there are scarier things than one little coyote to chase down in central park.

When I was on the graveyard shift I used to patrol what used to be a WWII naval base. We had lots of coyotes, but the first time I actually saw one of the shy little things I mistook it for a stray dog in the dark. It was just sitting by the side of the road so I threw it part of my sandwich. It started coming out of the woods for the sound of my patrol car and waiting for treats. Finally, I had a partner one night and he informed me that the “dog” that I was tossing food about 1 foot from my hand was in fact a coyote. Doh! How was I to know that coyotes will wag their tails and come when you call them?
