Some great news! (Although I would like to know if St. John’s enrollment spike was caused, in part, by the closure of other seminaries.)

The article suggests there is a spike in vocations throughout the country. This is very encouraging news…

I wonder what the actual numbers are. Does anyone know?

From my understanding the quality of men is also much better, and much more orthodox. That’s just as, if not more important than mere numbers.

I think the total number of college seminarians in the US is around 1100.

Do you know if that’s a significant improvement from a decade ago? My sense is that there has been an upward trend both in quality and quantity.
