I’m trying to think of some ways that Jesus’s call to Andrew can benefit us. What would a good “fisher of men” be like?
My father took me fishing occasionally, but I never got really good at it or even cleaned my own fish. Maybe others have more ideas on this or have more experience fishing for men or fish.

Here are some things I can think about how to fish for men:
- know your fish: what bait will attract them? (God has many different kinds of lures)
- you go to where the fish are. Like Jesus went to where the sinners were – and was a Guest of both rich and poor.
- do not spook them. Do not let them know you are some alien creature in their pond. Keep your mouth shut – use words only when necessary.
- know your fish: don’t try to set the hook until they’ve had a chance to swallow the bait
