Hello

Has anyone seen this kids cartoon. Is it suitable for my children? On the whole seems fine but I noticed the bears sometimes go out on romantic dates with humans (obviously nothing umpire happens). My scrupulosity goes mad at these scenes and screams ‘bestiality’ but I know I am not thinking clearly

Ps I am going to be getting further counselling for my OCD/ scrupulosity as it is destroying me

It’s fine. Don’t worry! The whole plot is ridiculous if you think about it scientifically. The three bears are supposed to be brothers, but one is a panda, another is a grizzly bear, and the other is a polar bear, so they cannot actually share the same parents. Children are not going to be worrying about how a bear from China came to be the full sibling of distantly related species from a different continent and they are not going to worrying about bears and humans dating.

Think of it like the Muppets/Muppet Babies. A central part of the plot was a romantic relationship between a frog and a pig. A frog and a pig who spoke English with American accents at that. Children like to use their imaginations, but they also have a remarkable ability to understand what is and isn’t real.

It’s good to know that you are getting help for OCD, which I know is a horrible condition to deal with.

I don’t think there’s anything bad about it. Over the course of the series one of the bears gets a job, they have to deal with zoning restrictions, and they talk to a university class. The way they think they’re people is kind of an ongoing joke.

It’s actually pretty funny, and I enjoy it. But do be warned, there are some things that you may not find appropriate. For instance, there’s one episode, that doesn’t right out say it, but it shows two women and implies that they had just gotten married, that said, keep in mind the show takes place in San Francisco. I would watch it’s episode-by-episode, before I make a decision on whether or not it’s appropriate. Now, I do watch the show, but I’m also an adult.
