They missed this one

It’s weird to think that the Vatican didn’t always look like that. How different it would have been in the medieval ages or during the Roman Empire.

WOW, why The Lego’s Movie came to mind when I first read the title… but WOW!!!

It’s nice having a kid being able to legitimately play with Lego again.

That is awesome! I’m forwarding it to my 15 year old grandson. When he was little age 3 and up, he and I would spend hours creating some intricate Lego and K’nex creations. He could look at the instructions and figure out from the diagrams what steps to take. My job was to provide him with the correct number of pieces for each step. He would tell me, “Nana I need this piece next.” I enjoyed the interaction and conversation with him that building those creations provided. He will get a kick out of seeing the Vatican in Legos. That’s an impressive and time consuming hobby. I liked the cathedrals too. Too bad COVID19 has put so many events on hold. I would travel to go see something like that.

Wouldn’t ordering special sets of pieces be needed for the creations shown?

For the ones containing tiny characters yes, for sure those are custom made. But for others I think not. The Jesus statue took only many many white pieces and a lot of time…
The Nativity scene used.different colored pieces…

The LEGO St. Peter’s Basilica was in town when the Pope visited. I’m still bummed that with everything else going on that weekend, I did not get a chance to see it.
