12 friars make first vows

I really love the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal. They are one of the few religious orders that are actually increasing instead of decreasing. The Church as a whole can learn a lot from them.

Gernerally, all the orders that are 100% faithful to the Magisterium of the Church, and ACT like religious, not glorified social workers, are doing pretty good.

Not just the FFR.

This order has expanded into Europe and other areas. They have a book I ordered from their site (and Fr. G autographed for me) that tells of their start and how it came about and has photos of all the nuns, brothers and priests. They have grown a lot since then, if you look at their archives, they seem to always be having a ceremony for the sisters or the friars vows. I love it! It is like that with the Poor Clares in Alabama too…only the friars there are hurting a bit, but I thnk it’s their type of order. If you don’t like filming or being part of that, you wouldn’t be happy.
