How can we know black from white unless we judge for ourselves? When the bible says we are not to judge, it means we are not to judge if a person is condemned or otherwise. Because only God holds that key to the person’s salvation.

It does not mean that we cannot judge if something is right or wrong. If we cannot even do that, then we are no different from walking zombies. If a brother or sister does wrong, it is important that we bring back the person into the light with love and compassion. Otherwise, we are only pushing the person further into darkness.

So, yes Valke can judge. And yes, Bella can reject too. But please explain WHY you think so or WHY you think the person’s judgement of you is wrong. Don’t behave like the muslims, on the one hand, they claim they are peeeaceful, on the other, they kill and threaten you to call them peeeaceful. So, are they really peaceful. Loginus put it well.

Beheadings are evil.
Threads about beheadings seem to cause people to loose their heads.
Its just a vicious cycle.

You need to be very very careful when judging about such a sensitive subject. It seems a number of ppl on these forums wish to see as some sort of holy war and themselves as the soldiers of God. In reality this is just one of ugly heads of politics. They arnt demons incarnate or messengers of Satan, they are some angry radical group that revels in destruction for its means.

They also dont speak for all Muslims, they claim to but in reality moderate muslims try to disassociate themselves from. Claiming all muslims are evil because of the actions of these ppl would have the same crdability as if I claimed all Christians are evil because of the actions of the KKK.

Another thing to remember that in politics, nothing is ‘evil’ or ‘good’. Actions are merely judged by a socio-political level of acceptance by that nation/group of nations. This relates to the cliche’ ‘One man’s terrorist is another man’s freedome fighter’

The reason why it must be stressed to differentiate is because lets face it, whenever the Catholc church unanimously decided something was the work of Satan it only ended in tunnelvision and blood.

Being ‘certain’ isnt what is required here, being open-minded is

Which Church? The Catholic Church condemns terrorism for she is the true Church. OTOH, the Orthodox Church does not condemn terrorism, as you can see how that Eastern Orthodox theocracy, Russia sends her army to massacre innocent Chechens in a bid to occupy and colonise Chechnya. That’s Russian state terrorism against defenseless Chechens.

Until today, no synod of the Eastern Orthodox Church has ever condemned the occupation, colonisation, apartheid towards the peoples of Chechnya or Yugoslavia by Orthodox Christians, such as Vladimir Putin and Slobodan Milosevic. In fact, such acts of state terrorism are glorified and Slobodan Milosevic is a saint in the Russian Orthodox Church. He is called Most Blessed Slobodan of Belgrade and his feast day is on the day the Serbs massacred Croats. Can you see how much Orthodox hate Catholics and Protestants, if we leave alone the Muslims?
Dear Murtad,

my compliments for your courage to embrace Catholicism… but please try to understand better your Christian brehren (it should be one of your duties as a Catholic).

I am not able to open the link you provided, but the information you give on the Orthodox Church is so gross as to be believed only by the most misinformed.

Russia has a different view on Chechnyan terrorism, of course, so you could just try to look at the Russian sources, whether from Church or state. But please don’t dare telling that they do not condemn terrorism.

To learn just how “defenseless” the Chechens are, try a bit of news research. Does the name Beslan ring a bell?

Milosevic was excommunicated by the Serbian Orthodox Church, when he was at the peak of his power: quite an act of courage by the Serbian Church… would have liked to see something similar done in Italy against Mussolini, who was himself ideologically much more hostile to the RCC than Milosevic ever was against the Serbian Orthodox Church.

“The Most Blessed Slobodan of Belgrade” is so ridiculous that it would warrant laughter… if the fact that you are taking it seriously (and none on this thread are speaking up against it) were not enough to induce tears. 😦 Pray just tell me why, if the Serbian Orthodox (as you state) glorify him, Milosevic should be a saint in the Russian Orthodox Church?

Loginus, thanks for the post. I agree with you on your points, but I have a belief and that is, unlike politics, God has only one will for us. If God isn’t so, today, we could just as easily accept the Mormons or JW as legitimate religions.

If someone thinks he/she is a soldier for God, then let that person prove himself by his words and let the word of God be the judge. The scripture is there for us to use, both as a sword and as shield. If refraining from legitimate discussions would impede our chances of better understanding the scripture, I think I would rather not refrain, because God said to seek Him.

I understand your concerns. But this is not the time to hide the lamp under the bed.

pro, nope. I got good grades. I learned to tell them what they wanted to hear. I also learned not to believe everything they said. You unfortunately seem not to have learned that lesson.
So in other words, you wrote and said things that were not true, in order to gain something worldly?

Wow…now you’re a liar on top of this? Or were you being honest then when you “told them what they wanted to hear”?

Here we see Pro pouncing on a bit of personal information posted by Cest, in order to deflect the discussion from the topic, which is the beheaded boy.

How is not generalizing and taking time properly analyse a situation ‘hiding the lamp under the bed’?

good to know more and more people are spotting his “tactics” 😉

Here is the story in full in case anyone is interested. A 14 year old Assyrian Christian boy who was working a 12 hour shift maintaining an electric generator was murdered by Islamists.
The youth was identified as Ayed Taruq, who lived in Baquaba, Iraq. He was at work on Oct.21 when a group of men went into the power plant shortly after his shift began at 6 a.m. The men asked him for his identification and, according to other witnesses, questioned his identifications card’s reference to him as a “Christian”.
Are you truly a “Christian sinner”, they asked. “Yes, I am but I am not a sinner”, he replied. The insurgents then called him a “dirty Christian sinner”, grabbed his limbs and held them while beheading him, the witness reported.
There are about 2.5 million Assyrian Christians in Iraq. Rev. Ken Joseph jr. of the Assyrian Christian organization said, “The Assyrian Christians are one of the last remaining Christian communities in the Middle East”, but tens of thousands Assyrian Christians have fled in recent months.----The Catholic Register

And our Pope congratulates them on their religious festivals?

Someone ought to tell him. Or perhaps we need to sacrifice the truth to keep the peace? But is that true religious peace?

There is no God but God! And Mohamed was no prophet! The sick warped and twisted ideology that is Islam has shown its true colors again. May God rest this child’s soul! Praise be to The Lord!
