I was looking at an atricle of the Deuterocanonical books at it showed the various Old Testament Canons as helf by various groups. I noticed that the Eastern Orthadox had three books (151st Psalm, 1 Esdras, and Prayer of Mananesseh). Why do they have those scriptures and we don’t? Thanks and God bless.

Montie:

I’m sure the Church had good Reason, or felt these books didn’t meet some “Level of Proof”. You might ask the Orthodox why they kept them. Look in Eastern Christianity and see if Fr. Ambrose or someone like him is available.

I’m sure the Orthodox will explain they had a diffierent way of looking at the books than we did, and therefore kept them.
