Florence Henderson was born in Indiana, not Texas, and she grew up in the small, heavily Catholic city of Owensboro, Kentucky.
Robert Reed objected to how The Brady Bunch turned out, said that he thought it was going to be a show dealing with serious issues in blended families, but in fact, that’s what it was, albeit with a comedic angle. Nobody would ever accuse it of being terribly profound, but it wasn’t without some substance. Overall, it was a good, wholesome show, and told its story very well.
