Can anyone recommend any resources that I can use to help prepare my daughter for her first communion (she is 8)? I have just ordered a book called “The Caterpillar that Came to Church: A Story of the Eucharist” which I heard was quite good. I also ordered and plan to review with her “A Pocket Catechism for Kids”. I have read her the relevant Gospel readings (Bread of Life discourse and Last Supper). I have told her that I believe with all my heart that Jesus is truly present to us in the Eucharist. I have talked to her about some of the Eucharistic miracles. We read stories about the saints. Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!

Try the 2nd grade book here…
ignatius.com/Textbooks/FaithAndLIfe/index.htm

It will run you about 20.00 and the workbook is a blast.
There are actual CCC quotes. My Second grader has to answer 50 questions from the CCC to make First Communion. They are in the back of each chapter.

This series is the best.
