At certain points during the day, let’s say while I’m waiting for something to heat up in the microwave, I’ll say “blood of Jesus cover me/my family/ house” and I’ll say it a few times. This is after I read that we should pray constantly.

One way I’ve heard of is breathing and saying the Jesus Prayer.

What prayers though, would be useful to know for waiting times and intervals where I’m available?

What are your go to’s?

I would agree with all of the above. I was taught when I was a protestant what is called breath praying you pray outloud or in your head what you would like ie “Jesus help me”,"Jesus be with me and my family " but I don’t know what the church’s opinion is on it.

Paul said he prayed in tongues “more than you all” Jude 20 praying in the Holy ghost. builds you up.

In addition to the main words of this morning offering, I add “thoughts and words.” A really good practice! When we remember that all of our thoughts, which are sometimes negative, were consecrated at the beginning of our day, it is a good reminder to think constructively.

“Prayer never needs to end in a person’s daily life.”
I agree, and this is what the Church teaches - when prayer is understood in the fullness of meaning that we are all called to realize.
St. John Vianney: "Prayer is nothing other than union with God.
Catechism: #2564 - “Christian prayer is a covenant relationship between God and man in Christ.”
Catechism #2565 - “… the life of prayer is the habit of being in the presence of the thrice-holy God and in communion with him. This communion of life is always possible because, through Baptism, we have already been united with Christ.”

The life of prayer is a real and human matter, intimately involving both man and God, following the ways of human growth and development, but in the supernatural matter of union with God, such union being God’s intention for us from the beginning.

The life of prayer grows and develops (or rather is meant to grow and develop!) as obedience to the Greatest Commandment is embraced more and more completely in a human soul:
Luke 10:27 And he answered, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself.”
Luke 10:28 And he said to him, “You have answered right; do this, and you will live.”
Do this and you will live - and do this and you will be praying, that is being - “in union with God” - always.

Prayer isn’t only reciting words. Prayer can be performing your daily tasks but doing them “as unto the Lord” Col 3:23. Or think of St Therese who was fond of doing small things with great love.

Great Question Jesus is my GOTO during times of question, temptation, etc…

Simply saying, “JESUS” with Him in Mind and Heart - as in a two-way connection…

The Name JESUS is no ordinary Name - JESUS is a Name of Power…
