It’s about time that the MSM realizes that it’s not just Catholics.

One of the members of the Southern Baptist Convention admits that there’s no way to track the “Preacher Preditors” because (his words) “Each church is autonomous.”

Maybe this will help people to understand that it’s individual predators who commit these attrocities, not just those “dirty Catholic priests.” :mad:

Sorry for the tone of this, but I get really mad that we get all of the publicity for sexual abuse, when it’s actually happening everywhere. But that doesn’t matter because we’re the ones who are evil, right?

I totally agree!!! Not that I am happy about abuse or anything of the sort, or that I condone any abuse by priests…any kind of sexual abuse scars children for the rest of their lives.

The point is that ANYONE can be a predator and that it happens EVERYWHERE!!! It’s not just priests, it happens in other churches/denominations, schools, families, youth groups, etc. It’s about time people come to terms with that and quit blaming the Catholic Church and its priests for all the abuse in the world!!!

And you are right, the crime is perpetuated by A PERSON not an entire institution!!!
 
I am watching it right now have about four minutes left. It was stated that some of these attacks could have been stopped if they had just been tracked.
 
I wonder. Are the stats really in support of the idea Catholic priests are the worse, or do they actually rank below non-Catholic ministers?

When the Catholic story was big news, the media claimed that it would be impossible to track the figures to see how one profession or denomination stacks up against another. :rolleyes: They found it easy enough to figure out the percentage of priests who cause problems, but can’t do that for any other group.
 
That’s because catholics are one group and protestants are 33000 individual groups.
 
It saddens me to watch the 20/20 report (just as it did during the Catholic reports). Sexual abuse under any case is heart-wrenching. When it allows God and Christianity to come under attack, it’s even more so.
 
It does tell you that married priests will not “fix” this problem.
