2012 Holydays

last weekend I picked up a 2012 calendar after mass. it didn’t note whether the Assumption, August 15, is a holyday or not (other holydays are marked in red while the Assumption is marked in black)

I thought if a holyday fell on Saturday or Monday, the obligation is lifted. August 15 is a Wednesday in 2012. is the Assumption a holyday?

Yes, it is a holy day in the USA. Must have been a printing error.

You are lucky, it isn’t a Holyday of obligation here so there is no evening Mass that I can attend.
