Yup, sobriety date 17 March 1984:shamrock2:

But I’m not Irish (not that there is anything wrong with THAT).

Of course, AA meetings use the Protestant version of the Our Father, known as “The Lord’s Prayer”:gopray:

And, of course, my 3 cats are NOT impressed:dts:

3 weeks until confirmation:yup:

God bless you, keep going remember you are free when you forgive yourself for the contact you had with drink, the users and places you frequented, and you have nailed all of that life to the cross of Jesus Christ letting it go this way.
Jesus tells us when we do this it all is gone as fare as the east is to the west. Or for ever.

God bless

CONGRATULATIONS!!!
That is an awesome accomplishment.
I have been clean and sober for almost 18 yrs myself.
Feels good, doesn’t it?
And welcome to the Catholic Church!!!
I became Catholic 4 yrs ago!

Congratulations!

Craig Ferguson, host of CBS’ Late Late Show, recently discussed (with candid reality) his alcoholism and sobriety. He was reflecting on his 15th anniversary of sobriety and refused to poke fun at Britany Spears, instead deciding to share his own story. I found it very inspiring.
