24-Hour National Abortion Debate: Who Would Your Debators Be?

It’s been almost 40 years Abortion has been legal now & we are still fighting whether or not Abortion should be legal. I think its time we had a 24- Hour Abortion Debate (No Commercials) on all the Major Networks/Stations on TV/Radio/Internet. I would chose to make all props or pictures available to those who wanted to use them.

If we could make this happen,

Who would you want the debators to be on the Pro-Life side vs. the Pro-Choice side (Let’s say you can pick 5-10 for each side)?

Who would you want the Moderators to be?

PRO-LIFE…

Alveda King, Fr. Euteneuer, Fr. Pavone, Rick Santorum, Joe & Eric Schiedler, Jill Stanek, Monica Miller, Judie Brown, Sen. Brownback, Alan Keyes, Mark Crutcher, Karen Malec, Jason Evert, Dr. Bernard Nathanson, Christopher West & Dr. Janet Smith.

PRO-ABORTION…

Kim Gandy, Hilary Clinton, Nancy Pelosi, **** Durbin, Barack Obama, someone from NARAL, Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, Catholic Politicians who are Pro-Choice, Tiller and other Abortionists, Bill Clinton, Bill Maher, Eleanor Clift, Hollywood representative and that’s all I can think of right now.

Who would you want at the debate on each side?

Wow what a Pro-Life lineup we have put together so far! The Pro-Life speakers would just crush the Pro-Aborts in a debate. It would be like watching the Indianapolis Colts NFL football team play a 2nd grade school team in football. No contest!
 
Gosh, it sure would be a shot in the arm to have Pope Benedict give the introductory kick off!

Who shall we approach to produce this? EWTN? Who wants to do that? Gosh, I guess this should happen before -]theelection/-] next Fall.
 
Hmmm…interesting. My feeling is that the best debaters on the pro-life side would be young, well-educated, well-spoken, passionate young women. I think that they are the ones with “a dog in that hunt”, so to speak. It’s easy for the other side to turn off the usual “little old ladies and Knights of Columbus” who so often are the face of pro-life (bless their faithful hearts!)

Our family is blessed with a 26 year old daughter who is vocal and involved, lobbies a state legislature on pro-life issues, is up to her ears in hands-on life-affirming activities (helping mothers with difficult pregnancies, etc.) and has a Master’s in Public Policy. She is formidable!!! Watch out for her some day soon!!!

David MacDonald is a youngish, well-educated, well-spoken, passionate man who experienced the grief of abortion twice. His conversion to Catholicism was dramatic and highly visual. His conviction by the Holy Spirit of the harm done by his own acquiescence to abortion has touched untold numbers on the internet. And he is a celebrity, having toured in Cats because he lost his voice for three years and now touring in his Christian-rock band.

We often ignore the testimonies of men who have been affected by abortion. Let’s not leave them out of our Debate.
 
Only one person I’d pick.

I unfortunately have to point out that most of the speakers that people have posted are wonderful people but I don’t know any of them who could win the debate against the best abortion supporters.

Here’s my pick: unmaskingchoice.ca/gray.html she would last 24, 48, even 96 hours if you asked her. I know her well.

Sometimes the best Catholic speakers aren’t prepared to handle the issue when you have to talk about it non-religiously. I have a lot of inside experience into most the names posted before. Some of them aren’t even completely prolife, some support contraception or their organization take no stand on certain important issues.
