Hmm…I don’t personally see a problem here. Jesus would ‘begin to be about 30’ at his baptism, as stated by Luke. And, with intercalation, you can have a Friday Passover in 28 AD. I think both of those issues are covered somewhere. Thanks for taking the time to look at it. James.
Um remember there is no zero year, so 3 B.C. to 26 A.D. would be 28. For Jesus to have been baptized at about 30, Jesus would be baptized in late 27 A.D. to early 28 A.D. And Jesus was probably born late 5 B.C., which would make Him about 30.

Passover in AD 28 was Tuesday, March 30th. If we add an intercalatory month Passover would land on Wednesday, April 28th. Apart from being too late for the first-fruits festival, it still fails the ‘Good Friday’ test. You’ve done too much good work to run down this trail James. Give AD 30 a go.

Also there is a strong tradition that Jesus was 33 years when he died. With a 28 A.D. crucifixion, we have almost 30 years. However with a 5/4 B.C. birth, that can be solved easily.
